The Ukrainian esports team Leogaming strengthens its roster: new players and skilled coach

The Ukrainian esports CS:GO team Leogaming has updated its roster - new players David "Merl" Davidyan and Vladislav "Leen" Stepanov have joined the team. Leogaming also signed an agreement with a new coach - Dmitry "rjy" Chumak will become the team's mentor. In addition, Leogaming has made a rebranding - now the team will be called L&G.

David Davidyan and Vladislav Stepanov will replace ex-team players Adrian "fenny" Korolyov and Andrei "sleiden" Kopanitsa. And mentor Dmitry Chumak will replace the previous Leo coach Evgeny "PRof1" Karnachev.

Dmitry "rjy" previously coached the MAJESTY and Marlian teams, and the last team was signed by the B8 organization. Interestingly at the same time Bogdan Krivda Krivda, a current L&G player, played for the B8 team.

“I started to work as a coach by accident. My first team was MAJESTY, but we did not show any serious results. Then I unintentionally stumbled upon the guys from Marlian. Days, weeks and months of hard work and purposefulness of each of the guys have paid off - the B8 organization signed us. It was a cool experience. Sergey «muR» Gres, сaptain Leogaming, called me to L&G. All the guys are strong, very pleasant atmosphere, and everyone is on top. Everyone in L&G is super motivated, charged to tear and throw, and this is my motivation and my fuel. Lots of hard work ahead, cheer for L&G!”

New Leogaming members Vladislav Stepanov and David Davidyan previously played for Leek, DirtyLegs and Tribunal teams with famous Ukrainian players AiyvaN and Kenzor.

I started playing CS:GO after breaking my leg in September 2018. After some time, I gave up and didn`t play at all for about six months. However, soon I returned to СS again. But I registered on Faceit and tightly grinded, all sorts of hubs, simultaneously starting solo games, met someone. My first team was trasko, I played there for a short time and in sum left the roster. Then I played in the DirtyLegs team. Unfortunately, the team broke up due to large-scale blackouts in Ukraine. In March of this year, I joined the L&G team. Cool organization, strong players and a coach in the roster”

Acquaintance with CS:GO started when I was 12 years old, in a computer club. I really liked the game but I rarely played it.   In 2017, I bought a PC and began to train hard. At the end of 2017 I upgraded lvl 10 on FACEIT. Then I played in different mixes of teams. In 2020, I was invited to The Incas team led by Mikhail Kane, thanks to whom I gained a lot of experience. At the end of 2021, our paths diverged. I was invited to TRIBUNAL team, where started to play with experienced guys Aiyvan and Kenzor, who opened a lot of new things for me. In the long run Dmitry "rjy" invited me to LeoGaming
